Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) have become an important corporate strategy for achieving business growth, improving operational efficiency, increasing market share, and creating long-term shareholder value. This study examines the impact of selected mergers and acquisitions on the post-merger corporate performance of companies in India. The research evaluates the financial and operational performance of selected firms by comparing key indicators before and after the merger or acquisition. Secondary data collected from annual reports, company financial statements, stock exchange records, and published research articles are used for the analysis. Financial ratios such as profitability, liquidity, leverage, and efficiency are considered to assess corporate performance. The study also highlights the challenges faced during post-merger integration and identifies the factors contributing to the success or failure of M&A transactions. The findings provide insights into whether mergers and acquisitions have enhanced the financial performance and competitive position of the selected companies. The study is useful for investors, corporate managers, researchers, and policymakers in understanding the effectiveness of mergers and acquisitions in the Indian corporate sector.
