This study examines mergers and acquisitions (M&A) as a strategic tool for integration in the Indian telecom sector, with special reference to Vodafone Idea Limited. Mergers and acquisitions have become an important business strategy for expanding market share, improving operational efficiency, strengthening network infrastructure, and achieving long-term growth. The study aims to analyse the strategic reasons behind the merger of Vodafone India and Idea Cellular and evaluate its impact on the company's overall performance. The research focuses on the merger that formed Vodafone Idea Limited and examines its contribution to subscriber growth, market share, network expansion, financial performance, and operational efficiency. The study is based on secondary data collected from Vodafone Idea Limited's annual reports, company reports, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) reports, government publications, journals, and other reliable sources. The collected data are analyzed using descriptive statistics and correlation analysis to examine the relationship between mergers and acquisitions and the company's performance. The findings are expected to provide valuable insights into how mergers and acquisitions have improved business integration, strengthened competitiveness, and supported the sustainable growth of Vodafone Idea Limited.
